Born and raised outside of Pittsburgh, PA, Melissa trained with Patricia McKeown and then at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School with summers at Boston Ballet, The Pennsylvania Ballet and the Chautauqua Institute.
Upon graduating high school she joined the Louisville Ballet where for 10 years she had the honor of dancing principal and soloist roles in many full-length ballets, neo-classical and contemporary works as well as having had original choreography created for her.
Upon departing Louisville, Melissa was a principal guest artist with companies in New England while getting her certification in the Gyrotonic Expansion System. After relocating to Portland in 2006 and having her 2 (amazing) daughters, Melissa has taught at schools all over the Portland area while also transitioning into real estate. She is currently a licensed broker with Premiere Property Group.
